Going Digital

Well, I got a little  swamped with school and life for a while there, but I am back! I am actually currently in Columbia visiting my family, and this break has just pushed me into a creative phase. I will have plenty of posts coming up soon. For now though, I thought I'd share my bit of afternoon delight: digital scrapbooking.

I have finished a digital scrapbook page before, but now I am hoping to really get into it. I am moving into an apartment soon and we are in need of nifty decorating\memories to hang about the walls.

The best part, you can do digital scrapbooking, basically free! I am using a software, call GIMP. You can find it here. It is a free program, that seriously does just about everything that Photoshop can (including layers, tools, ect).
You can also get all of your supplies without ever having to leave your house. No more running out of flower embellishments and realizing that Hobby Lobby is closed! Of course, if you like the 3-d aspect of embellishments, you can always make your page mixed-media. There are tons of great websites that offer free downloads of amazing kits and embellishments. My personal favorite is Shabby Princess.

For example, check out this cute embellishment:

I will post my own pages asap, and I would love to see any that you have created!

Yours Truly,
